I could use some tips for Ovals if at all possible. I know i'm doing something wrong when I try the default setup vs. default setup 70/50 AI and can't keep up. It seems like much of it will be luck seeing if you can stay in the draft, and if everyone else can too.

To start with don’t worries about AI learning the line and not having to dodge the robots will help a load. With the set up go to the time trials and down load a ghost that has a set icon highlighted (mine should) and then try that. After that it’s all about personal preference ie how much you want to go throw the gears stuff like that. I’ve just finished work so if I can get on in about 40 mins I will if your about

Had some testing today, quali and race against 70/40 AI. Too easy at that level and took pole with a 39.081 which was 2.4 seconds up on the next car. Best i've managed so far is a 38.8.
Had a big lead at the first stop but the crew didn't change my tyres lol. Came back in which put me a lap down but worked my way back into the lead before a couple of AI incidents while lapping them gave me big damage. First one moved up unexpectedly into turn 1 putting me in the wall then one slowed suddenly into the same turn and I went right into his rear losing the front wing. I called it a day at the hour mark but some good info from the race and had some good consistent laps.
Apart from those two incidents the AI were pretty well behaved but I need to move them up a bit to get them closer to my times.

I was running a race tonight and well into the second stint and passing backmarkers cautiously, but easily. Then all of a sudden out of T4 the backmarker in front of me slowed a lot and i ran right into the back of him. I can only assume he was pitting because ther was noting in front of him to make him slow so drastically. Lesson learned i guess. I'm a bit disappointed that it ended my race though. I was trying to right myself after the contact and got clipped by another car and lost a wheel and took damage to the engine. I was working my way into the pits and was 4 pit boxes away from my crew when the engine hit 100, terminal damage. I really wish there was a flashback feature in this game like there is in the F1 series of games.

The difference between AI on PCars 2 and F1 is in F1 they have one type of car and track unlike in PCars 2 with multiple car and track types. This is why I think they slow down in the corners on the ovals and also why they cut turn one and leave all the mud everywhere. One you get the level and aggression right they are not too bad. Had another go today with them at 75 and although their lap times are still too low at that level there weren't any slowdowns while I was passing them. You do have to be on your toes though especially when you have the draft add the closing speeds can really catch you out. I'll probably dial them up to 90ish to see what sort of pace that gives them. Yeah that dirt on the track happens all the time but doesn't seem to effect anything.
