I’m home in time but my internet is currently incredibly unreliable. Having a wind storm in my area currently and I’m sure there is some correlation there. The internet keeps cutting out every few minutes. Doesn’t look like I’ll be on.

Wow!! That was long but great fun. Well done Daz on a dominant victory to open the season, very impressive consistency. Even if I had been able to run the race on full beans there's no way I was matching you tonight. I've not run so many laps here so slowly so more then happy to step up to the second step on the podium. Congrats to Ian (De4dly) on maiden podium, good job especially after that early mishap.
Good job everyone, impressed by the communication throughout so we all knew what was going on when coming up on other cars.
A few disappointments as well though with Karl, Rich and Luke suffering strange problems. All of whom would probably have been in the running at the sharp end without them. Who else was having similar issues tonight?
A great way to start the season though despite that.
Thanks everyone for the effort put in during the race and in your many practices and to Rich and Dave for continuing to put things together. It's been a great time to take over this site which is enjoying some terrific racing on Xbox which is so good to see as it really had been struggling for some time on that format. The numbers here are great now and let's hope we can continue to grow and it's series like this one that can only help that.

Firstly, congratulations to Daz for a dominating and flawless victory and 2ndly congratulations to everyone for your continued professionalism and support in our series.
Not a stellar performance for me tonight after a fairly decent start I found myself in P6 lapping competitive times until I had a shunt with a spun car in T3 causing an unscheduled Pitstop for repairs and after a fairly lengthy stop I found myself at the back of the field some 2 laps down. After rejoining the race I found some consistent pace on the Primary tyres and began to make my way back towards the tail of the field.
I had a few minor offs and further contacts with drivers not being unaware of faster cars when rejoining the circuit after a spin.
But all in all a great start to the season and an enjoyable race and now onto COTA in 2 weeks.

We’ve throughly enjoyed expanding our forum and it’s testament to the quality of the driving and the exciting races that we take so much pleasure in putting together that our numbers have increased so dramatically in theses last few months. I’m proud to race with you all and I’m very happy that we’ve made this forum our home and hopefully we can continue to attract quality drivers and come up with some more realistic and exciting digital motorsports for you all to enjoy.

Yes Thank you Dave & Rich for putting this series together. That was tough but fun as always.
I found myself in 4th near the beginning on blacks, chasing Greg and Peter down once their tyres started degrading, then started to lose them when my tyres starting degrading until I took turn 1 too hard and spun it around. I took things a little easier for the rest of the session and concentrated on hitting my marks.
I say we had 2 mvp drivers of the day, Daz and Ian! Well done on your first podium Ian and what an excellensupurbulastic performance that was from Daz; unrivaled.
P.S. Twitter allows :45sec videos😅

I never had any degrading tyre issues thoughthey were as strong at the end of the stint as the start but once I realised my error in not putting my rad back to its race setting I just had to ease off the pace to ensure the engine remained intact. Once I had a good gap to third there was no need to push and I just concentrated on keeping it clean and like you said yesterday slow and steady

You've really stepped up your driving lately Peter, I know what your new years resolution was now; same with Ian's. I didn't have one lol.
I'm going to have to get really really familiar with everything setup wise in order to keep up the pace with the competition. 🏎💨
P.S.

Haha, Tyler this is just as great as any of your Screwtube videos! And it'll give you a bit more time on track.
What a great start to the season. Glad to see we had double digits, with more possible. Congrats to Daz who just dominated on all lavels.
I was pretty surprised to be on the 2nd row after qualifying, and got a good start on Reds. I stopped on lap 16 and it was blacks from then on. I had good pace and was in 3rd maintaining gaps. Then somehow, I crashed at turn 4. I just lost it and hit the inside wall way before the apex. Pretty dumb. Dave had too close a view, sorry. No idea what happened. Big damage put me a few laps down. A bit of disappointment led to a lack of concentration some laps later and I had to do one last damage pit stop. Overall happy with the pace and the result. This season will be awesome. I hope the bugs and the iRacing don't keep people from coming back.

Just keep at it and the improvement will come. From my perspective you were always quick and clear to inform of your intentions when I was going past and that's to your credit. If there's anything you'd are particularly struggling with just holler and someone here will always be willing to help out in some way.

Just to echo what Pete has said, if you need any help with engineering your car then we’ll only be too glad to help. The only criticism I had was when you rejoin the circuit after a spin be aware of other cars approaching and take care to rejoin the circuit in a safe manner. Cheers Dave

Thanks guys, what can I say was a good start to the season for me, congrats to Pete for your 2nd place, sounded like an interesting race for you with your rad settings, and congrats to Ian for your 3rd place. Really enjoyed my first event with you guys, really impressed with how the league is run, very professional and a good group of guys to race with. Thought everyone handled blue flag situations really well, clear instructions and moving off the racing line so just wanted to say thanks for that especially given how bad that track is off line in the T3,4,5,6 section. Looking forward to COTA completely different challenge there I’m sure

Thanks all for the fun race. My car was pretty stable - I’ll post up my setup for anyone running the Chevy who wants to try some tweaks. Daz was just crazy fast and Hammer Mr. consistent, had a great back and forth with Sgt Formula 1 and Niblips thru most of the race. It’s a whole different ball and with pit strategies etc! Glad it’s two weeks to the next one to have time to retune.

Super disappointed with the steering issue last night. It caught a few of us out and I think it's fair to say it's an old xbox issue. I think the only way to combat it is to upgrade to the onex unit.
Was unable to qualify and eventually got some good laps in but only after changing the steering ratio from 10 to 15 and taking it super easy through the corners (most a gear down to what I was doing in practice).
Will do all my COTA practice online to see if that makes a difference, but I'm not holding my breath. If the steering issue continues I can't see myself finishing this series unless I can upgrade my xbox.

I don't plan on leaving anytime soon especially with how fun it's been getting so i'll be here to race you.
