I’ve read a number of reviews and watched a lot of videos and I’m not willing to pay 55 quid for a game I already have, unless I get a copy from work then I’m fairly sure I won’t be able to continue in the league, which is a shame as I am enjoying racing with you boys. Cheers Dave It's definitely not the game we already have unless it's changed from the beta. I think there will always be elements of similarity due to the nature of the sport, same tracks, same teams and mainly same drivers but the career mode is improved, handing is different and there are enough tweaks and adjustments to make it worth the purchase. If circumstances were different I would have picked it up on release for sure.

I'm hoping to get it before Silverstone, but just spent a small fortune on a new office chair as my back is a priority lol

I'd love a playseat but barely have the space for a wheel so I went with a DXRacer, was like 400 including shipping but well worth the money, just had to buy some robber caster cups to stop the rolling 😂

The Challenge is foldable and doesn't take much space at all when folded, that's the main reason I'm looking at it, I don't have the space either for the normal playseat rigs.

F1 2019 So Far: The first thing I did was take my exact setup from the Red Bull Ring in 2018 and applied it to 2019 and ran some Time Trials. I also set up my FFB and calibration exactly the same. The game is definitely different. There no weight jacker tuning anymore. And the car feels more twitchy to me. I think you can also feel the tires more, although maybe just my imagination. That's the only running I did in the F1 cars.
I did start my career in the F2 cars and man what a blast that car is to drive. I probably enjoy it cuz it's slower and more forgiving but it's a great addition to the series. Maybe an off season or mid week series in those?
UPDATE: In addition to the feel the graphics are much better as well. Especially off track stuff and the way the lighting is, is noticeably better. The way trees in the distance look and the way the light comes thru them is all much better. I wonder if guys with out the One X will have trouble?

Are all the classic cars from the last game in the new game? Is it worth another 40 odd quid?

I guess it depends how often you are going to play it. For me they have always been more than worth the money as the hundreds of hours of time spent in any of the previous games would equate to pennies which in comparison to so many things these days is unbeatable value for money.
I believe that this is the list of classic cars available:-
2010 Red Bull RB6 2010 Ferrari F10 (F1 2019 Legends and Anniversary Edition bonus) 2010 McLaren MP4-25 (F1 2019 Legends and Anniversary Edition bonus) 2009 Brawn BGP 001 2008 McLaren MP4-23 2007 Ferrari F2007 2006 Renault R26 2004 Ferrari F2004 2003 Williams FW25 1998 McLaren MP4-13 1996 Williams FW18 1992 Williams FW14 1991 McLaren MP4/6 1990 Ferrari F1-90 (F1 2019 Legends Edition bonus) 1990 McLaren MP4/5B (F1 2019 Legends Edition bonus) 1988 McLaren MP4/4 1982 McLaren MP4/1B 1979 Ferrari 312 T4 1978 Lotus 79 1976 Ferrari 312 T2 1976 McLaren M23D 1972 Lotus 72D

Everybody. Please select your answer in the poll that I have added to the top of this thread. Just to give an idea of numbers for the first race with the new game. Cheers

Same here, if sticking to 2018 means we keep up the numbers then surely that’s better than running ‘19 with less people

I think that most will have the game come Silverstone. Anyway 4 answered to the positive and we know that Mikey and Neale both have it so that's 6 and Karl should have it, his is just a supply problem at the moment so that's 7. Only really needs another 3 to make it a reasonable grid.
If it was 50/50 I would say stick with 2018 but that's not the case so despite my situation I think 2019 is the way to go. But I appreciate the sentiment behind the suggestion 👍

I can't see the poll, but I'll have it before Silverstone. I'm good with waiting for more people to get it if we don't have the numbers for it though.

I’ve just been doing some testing for the next Grand Prix and I like how the car handles and the tyre deg is very noticeable, secondly the graphic improvement is very clear and the weather system is excellent, I drove a 50% race at Silverstone with AI on 70 (hard) and found the AI drivers to be competitive but not too aggressive. I’m not too sure about the FFB at this point but I didn’t adjust that just selected my wheel from the menu. I’ll do some more testing leading up to the race to see if I can be a little more at ease with the software and maybe a little bit more competitive.
Cheers
Dave
Ps if anyone has FFB settings for Logitech G920 I’d appreciate it

I'm like the others, keep grid higher with 2018, even though I have the game. Set a later date for the change over.

Cheers Dave Come on Dave, look at www.simplygames.com/p/f1-2019---anniversary-edition-xbox-one a tad cheaper at £41.85 but cheaper than £55.00 not sure it’s cheaper any where else.. I need you to keep coming in the game bud. Your my nearest rival lol.. hopefully you can keep coming with us..
