Gareth, not sure whether you finished the race or not as on my screen it said you had left the session shortly after we came together. I'm afraid you got caught up in one of my braking issues, I ended up in the wall on the exit of the turn 9 chicane and just drifted back into the middle of the track where you collected me. Hope that didn't end your race...
Then, shortly after I may have got together with Greg. Not sure though. We were side by side when I got a drs run into the final chicane and next I knew he wasn't there. I slowed on the start finish straight to let him by in case I had forced him off but he never appeared and then left the session.
Anyway, a bad end to a difficult but for the most part fun race. I had some good battles with Railer and Gareth throughout but just kept on getting tripped up by the damn brakes spiking. Spinning me out at turns 2, 6 and 9 at different points of the race. Was still looking good for 5th place when battling Railer around lap 55ish, we had swapped positions a couple of times and I had just got back past him into 5th place and with me on the supers not needing to stop any more and he on the ultra's I knew he had one more stop to make giving me about a pit stop advantage. Then it all went to pot as I went through turn 9 and the brakes locked up and I headef straight for the inside wall in the incident that caught Gareth too. That was that for me really and I was just hanging on to the end of the race after that trying to get the car to the end. Well done Alec on the win and Neale and Karl on the podium finishes.
Those final laps were a bit of a crap way to sign off for the foreseeable but it is what it is and I guess that's racing. That'll be my lot for a while unless I can find a complete fix for the brake pedal or get a replacement set sooner than I anticipate. Hopefully I can get back to join in again with the new game before the season ends.
Good luck and have fun.

P:3 R: DNF
Should have won it, fucked up on the third stint and shit happens later because of it. Same corner same wall and same position as last season, probably the same lap as well.

I haven't watched my video back yet mitch but I tried to leave you room. Last I looked you were taking the right side into the final chicane and I left room there. I expected you to go flying past but then you came across into me. Did you have contact with the wall of champions?

Q 2 R 2 Had a great qualifying great start managed to keep 2 into first / second corner not sure what was wrong with Matt on lap one very slow thought he had issues got pass Matt thought i was going to be push of track as going was tight on the overtake but made it through,Mitch was with us with some great racing with the three trading places with DRS Mitch now in front then Mitch pitted I should of followed him I as he gained a lot on me when I pitted the following lap.managed to keep gap but to far behind to close we had very similar pace then I damaged my wing so cost me time on next stop which put me back to Forth and had to do some chasing down but wasn’t making any headway. Last stop put on HS managed to get faster lap 😃 Would of been very happy with 4th after wing repairs and losing time but then was given 2nd from Karl and Mitch having a race incident I think. Some great close racing. Well done to all that finished, well done to Alex great driving and tyre management Mate.

Another race meeting to forget, crashed into the Wall of Champions on my 1st flying lap and as a result started P11 on the grid. Got a fairly good start managing to avoid the T1 chaos and found myself making up ground towards the midfield runners but that’s where it all went wrong, lap 3 on the back straight I had to change the ERS and as I changed the settings my phone rang causing me to take off the front fight corner of the car which ended my race.
Congratulations to Alex for the win and I’m looking forward to Paul Ricard.
Whilst watching the excellent racing I’ve recorded some footage which I’ll post on the Social Media.
Cheers
Dave

I was on lap 64 I think and a flashing message started appearing at the bottom of my screen, saying 'host migrating'. Shorty after the screen went black and I was put back to the main menu and a message appeared saying 'you must be connected to Xbox live' so whether I disconnected or got kicked I don't know. It's ok about the bump, no worries. Full report to come later.

Q9 Race DNF
Poor qualifying session, just can’t get my speed and control together had a fab start making up 3-4 places then carnage.. lucky to stay on the track with only nose damage, was never really able to get any time back ended up hitting a wall and losing wheel..
Overall, really need to get more practice but limited time right now.. hopefully that will change later in the year..
Thanks to everyone, congrats to my team mate on his podium and second place, shame about the others including me for the DNF’s..

Q 5 R 4
Did my first run on SS was thinking of different strategy. Ran mid 12s. Decided to go with US and put in my fastest lap ever by 3/10s. Decided to see if I could move up the grid with HS but lost momentum in turn 2. Was nervous about the start and was adjusting the car with the wheel when the lights went green. Gave it too much throttle and the car shot straight across to the right. Felt a hit on mynrear which was totally my fault. Sorry for the carnage that happened from my error. Took to the escape road and came out next to last. Slowed for the Ferrari to catch up and let him past but by turn 4 he was barely going. Decided to press on at that point. Caught up to dink and was trying to pass him. Finally got my chance at turn 8. Was flying down the back stretchn and saw someone hit the wall and narrowly avoided them. Definitely went grass cutting to avoid the collision. Kept decent pace and was catching up to Peter. Had good long fight with him swapping positions. Was difficult to tell which car was the leader and which was Peter and got passed at least twice that way. Peter pitted and my engineer told me to give it the beans. I did and had a slight spin at the hairpin and elected to pit then. Knew it would be close leaving pit exit but I somehow managed to stay ahead of Peter...at least for the next few laps. Peter got back in front due to leaders catching up and Peter drafted by. Peter spun in turn 1 and again nearly hit his rearend sticking out. Put the hammer down and was pulling away. Had 1 final stop for HS tyres and tried to see if I could catch 3rd place. Was a lap down to 3rd so kept consistent laps till the end. Was a long race and felt bad for my start car control.

Yeah, I just watched my video back. I was looking for you. Had a look back just as you were coming along side me. then when the view moves forward again you are there coming across. I had no time to react really..... i think if i hadn't looked back i may have moved over more to let you through... You can see it in the video, around the 1h40m30s mark mixer.com/niblips2?vod=109477559

Add the DRS being opened and I was never getting out of that one. Oh well.

Quali: Crashed out Race: DNF Messed up quali and lost the rear exiting the second chicane but had quite a messy start to the lap anyway so it was coming. The race start was decent enough, a couple of cars collected eachother in the run to T1 and I swerved to avoid but then nudged one of the Force India's braking and damaged my wing, seems to be a regular thing for me. Managed to do ok for the next dozen or so laps before hitting a wall or barrier and pitted early for the Hypers I think. Can't remember much else happening for a while but had some good back and forth with Peter either trying to stay ahead or catch him up. A bit later had a tense but enjoyable battle trying to stay ahead of Greg, with Peter following closely behind. Finally bottled it a bit later on with my old friend the wall/barrier so pitted again for a new wing. Had a second battle with Greg after (I think) my second stop, he seemed to be struggling a bit on super softs and I was on hypers. After a couple of laps I was pretty close and he spun after the second chicane, hitting the barrier to the left, Greg I'm not sure if we made contact or you lost the car yourself, can you give your view on it? Later still Peter decided he hadn't finished with me so punted me into the barrier for good measure just after the bridge chicane. I thought I had no tyres left but the pit crew felt sorry for me and gifted me some brand spanking new hypers, much to my surprise; so I had a second wind and started putting in some qualy laps and was having a ball until the game kicked me out. Overall it was a pretty enjoyable race and I had some good battles with Greg and Peter. Apologies to the leaders whilst lapping me because I picked some stupid places to let you guys past. Peter I hope you find a quick fix for the pedal problem, I tend to have good races with you on the grid. Congrats to all who finished that one!

We've certainly had some cracking battles over the years Gareth so I'll look forward to more of the same when i'm sorted out again. You and Railer should be able to get some good racing in as well and add Greg in there and i'm sure you will not be short of direct competition.

Q 7 R DNF
Happy with my quali time of 1:11.4xx as it was faster than my best time trial effort. Still a step below the top guys abilities for sure.
Got a good start and squeezed in between the wall and 5th place as they had a bad getaway. On lap 3 I spun exiting turn 9. Somehow both people right behind got by and I only rubbed some front wing bits off on the wall. In practice I spun here a few times and I always tore wheels off. I did need to replace the front wing so was in the pits to start lap 4.
From here I was off sequence but had decent pace. At first I had fun watching the gap to Micko close from 17 sec down to under 10 by the time he took his 1st stop. A few other periods of short good battles along the way. Gareth came out of the pits behind me with about 25 laps(I think) left. Held him off for a bit but he was definitely closing in. I was on the end of a long stint and while powering up in turn 7 I got wheel spin. It was just enough that I slightly lifted and Gareth was so close I think he tapped me ever so little. It caused me to spin into the wall and needed my 3rd front wing. I thought I recorded it but it hasn't shown up on my feed. Absolutely not blaming Gareth. That corner is my worst on the track. The car is so on edge there and I essentially backed up into you and around I went.
My race came to a close with 12 or so laps remaining. Peter was on a new set of tires and faster than me anyhow. Going into the last chicane he had DRS and was up the inside. I knew he would pass eventually so I let him have the corner. I went long and attempted to use the re-entry lane but had no grip off line. I couldn't turn and ripped off the front left on the inside wall. Really bummed to not finish. I've never driven at Paul Ricard in any game, time to get back on track.

My incident with Gareth. All my fault, was collected because I lifted.
