Morning guys,

Had to change my attendance for this race to questionable unfortunately. Got on for my first practice last night (TT mode to start with) and found I was severely off the pace with less than optimal top speed and even stranger I noticed that my front wheels were locking on corner exit at times!! I also noticed My DRS was only working intermittently. Tried a few things to resolve that but with no improvement so checked my wheel calibration and immediately noticed that my brake was showing as partially activated hence the wheel locking and lack of DRS. Tried re-calibrating to limited effect, rebooted the wheel but still the same. It was also apparent that when getting on the throttle the brake at times also spiked somewhere between 4-20% and stayed at that point.

Exited the game and went to F1 2019 beta and found the same there and then pCars 2 and again could see the same behaviour so clearly not a game issue. I tried setting a brake deadzone but because of the intermittent nature of the problem with the pedal not being stuck within any particular range it didn't help.

Tonight was due to be my main night for practice but I will have to take the pedal unit apart instead to see if I can find anything that is damaged or interfering with the potentiometer. If it's the latter I can probably fix it but I do know from when I adjusted my throttle pedal a couple of years ago that it is not an easy process and can be really difficult to get it back together, but fingers crossed that's the issue and I can sort it out. If it's damaged though I will probably be out for some time.

I'll update here as and when I have any more news.

Fingers crossed it's something I can fix tonight. But the intermittent brake application when using the accelerator has me concerned that it's not just a dirty pot.
