Peter Hooper / Hammerpgh / #7 Schmidt Peterson
Had very few races here but know it's one of the tougher on the circuit with those blind uphill apexes. Should be an interesting race... fingers crossed for an extra body or two on the grid.

Damn!! That's a shame Greg Let's see how many are available..... Summer is always the time that is most difficult to get everyone in.

Just in case you are thinking of a postponement plan...I also have a commitment the following Saturday so no need to change just for me. As a very part time job I help shoot fireworks displays for private events like weddings. We do about 6 or 8 a year and they always seem to be on Saturdays. I had to leave the Texas race early a few events back due to the same thing.

Wait....are we running the same layout as last year or are we running the one in the pic above? Is there more than one layout in the game? I thought there was just the one. I just grabbed a generic circuit layout for the purposes of this thread. If you know the layout the game uses point me in the direction of an image with that same layout and i'll swap it with what's on here.

Wait....are we running the same layout as last year or are we running the one in the pic above? I checked the archive of the last season and found a different layout which I have added to the opening post and assume that this is the correct one.

Has anybody had any practice for this one yet? I hope to get a decent run in tomorrow and definitely need it here as it's a very challenging circuit that needs plenty of track time to get comfortable with it. I finished 2nd last season but that was purely down to the problems others had at the start of the race and later on as my pace was very poor in comparison to everyone else and it was a real case of the tortoise and the hare lol.

I’ve done some testing here and found a fairly stable setup but the kerb in turn 3A at the top of the hill is tricky and I still haven’t managed to get the dampers fully dialled in, that said I’m running mid 20’s with a bit more left to find, Reds are fast but fragile but I’m yet to run the Primes but with some more testing I’m feeling pretty confident

Must admit I do not touch the dampers much at all... bit of a dark art there which I have avoided lol. I am going to start off with what I used last time out and see what that gives me but I suspect those undulations will mean some changes will be needed.

Did a few more laps as I was waiting for my wife to get home and ran a 17.6 in a race setup, still working on tyre deg and temperatures

I'm going to try and get in some laps tonight. If I remember correctly my pole time last year was a 1:15.223 and race times in the 1:19s-1:20s.

I've gotten in about a dozen laps tonight with a few different adjustments here and there. I'm in the 1:17s race pace with a best of 1:16.089, quite off from my previous best. I've also had a handful of spins so I'm pretty shakey here yet. Good thing it's a fun circuit and i'm right on pace with the AI at 120/80.
I'm looking forward to this one, fingers crossed for a few more bodies.

I just checked back on my history with rsDash and can see that my best lap time here was a 1:17.820 in quali and in the race it was 1:19.561 so I was a long way short of the pace you guys are setting. I do remember I went into the that one with no practice at all though so hopefully if I can get some solid laps down tonight and will be able to get myself closer to the required pace.
We had 10 on the grid for this race last season which Tyler won with a best lap of 1:18.972. I finished second (somehow) a lap down with a best of 1:21.239!! Dave set the fastest lap of 1:17.522 but ended up 5 laps down in 5th.
