Quali and race from my cockpit and then from every drivers view for the remainder of the race after my race ended. I tried to give each driver a reasonable run of laps but wasn't watching so just kept coming back to swap the viewpoint.

I’ve had a discussion with another League Admin on the Facebook Codies F1 page and they have had wet races at the same events that we have, I’m not sure if that’s coincidental or it’s evidence of the software picks which races will be wet during the course of a season?

Hammerpgh, that's awesome. I watched a lot of the Mixer stream and am glad all the races are on YouTube. Thanks again for doing that. I was in squadron for MS Combat Flight Sim 20 years ago, super active community, and had a couple tournaments with people travelling from all over the world to meet and compete. I really wish now we had something like this to go back and watch.
Lemarrr, my Career also had rain in Japan, but it was a full downpour. I think some tracks are a lot more likely to have it. It would be nice if they had a slider to lower or increase rain chances.
Careers in PCars 2 have had a ton of rain, too. Maybe more than this game, or at least it seemed that way.

Glad you liked it Dale. I'm actually going to use it as a bit of a tutorial myself to see the techniques of different drivers throughout the race to try to work out where i'm going wrong in this game. Pretty much every race is streamed and just the occasional one where the stream failed for some reason is all that's missing. Been doing it for quite a few years right back to the early F1 days. I think the weather slider idea to alter the chances of rain would be a really good one 👍

There's always got to be a higher percentage chance of rain at certain events, Suzuka, Great Britain, Brazil, etc. and it's no easy task getting it right but it just seems to be a bit skewed in comparison to real life at the moment.

So if we continue to announce the weather forecast like we do for the Indycars on the Friday after P2 then people will have some idea about car setup

What ive taken from this is im really bad at using up my ERS fun watching other people driving cos you spot things that you can try see if they work for you.

Exactly, that's how i'm intending to use it. There wasn't much actual racing between anyone as the gaps were a bit too big but as a learning aid it will be useful.

Neale/Boothy both would have a better Idea since they are consistent front runners right now, but those guys dont share their secrets.lol Regarding weather, I wonder if everyone would be game to start at the same time, but have it run a little longer so we can do the shortest practice session possible before Qualifying? That doesn't solve the issue of too much rain, but it does solve the issue if being able to set up a car prior to Parc ferme. Disabling Parc Ferme so Qualifying can have testing a bit is another option. The dynamic weather is one thing this game did right, although there certainly seems to be a lot of rain lately.

From your xbox replay uploads, I don't know how you are still so aerodynamic because you are literally sitting on top of the car. Not only is that hurting the aero of the car, but it is incredibly dangerous. Just be careful :-P But yeah, your ERS management at times seems to be questionable. But who am I to say, you've been pretty dominant.

Sure, so as far as I can see, the only alternative is to set the weather conditions manually rather than use the dynamic setup We had a problem with this game a couple seasons ago, the chance of rain for each race was just ridiculous at some events, so I logged a history of the weather for the real races and calculated the % chance of rain for each event. Then we would basically roll the dice before each race to determine if we would run with dry conditions or dynamic conditions. It was a lot of work but we put an end to a lot of the wet races that way. Using the actual real race conditions would have been easier, but there was no way to setup a dry/wet/dry race at the time.

The right right left left Camber Toe for every track's #1 times should not happen.

The right right left left Camber Toe for every track's #1 times should not happen. For some reason that's always worked, no matter what they've done, that's always been the fastest setup to have. Early on it was all about 1/11 wings, then when it had the ballast, that had to be at 11, it's the one thing they've never really gotten right.

I could never run with 11 ballast, car was way too unstable for me like that. I think Karl was the same. The extreme setups just have never been something I have found drivable.
