It says it's a 6 speed sequential so that means they don't need to use the clutch pedal correct? The car in the game uses a rally car stick on the left side but for a one time event i'll probably just use the paddles.

It’s a sequential box so you can flat shift, the V8 Supercar is only a touring car in name, it’s closer to a GT than the TCR cars we’ve driven previously

This is going to be one crazy event. I had my first test run in these cars and this is one tricky beast of a track to tame. There's that one chicane when you start going back down the mountain that the AI can zoom through but almost gets me every lap, same with the chicane after the long back straight right before the pits.
I'm about 8 seconds off the AI so far with a best of 2:10 something. I might be at a disadvantage using the H-pattern shifter as it's slightly slower than the sequential one but it'll be good practice for when we eventually get to the Lotus 98T in the vintage series.
It's better to concentrate on finishing the event with minimal damage over trying to win here. If there are any stalled cars in the mountain section it's so crammed in up there that they could block the entire track.

Apparently the last H shift cars were in the 90s, and those were with a dogbox. AI is almost opposite on my end..AI is fine in the tech sections, but I have trouble in the straights unless I'm in a draft at anything higher than 4 on rear aero.

Absolutely agree Tyler, anywhere from turn 3 to 15 will be a major problem for any cars following if a car spins, there's just no room to avoid anyone there. I've raced here a couple of times and and that's always been a problem. Lots of patience required too if following behind someone. Very little space to effect a pass.

Managed to get in my first test here last night. Struggled to get any laps in at first but once I got used to the car, made a few setup sdjustmebts and figured out the best way to negotiate things on this very tricky circuit the times started to come down. Started out at 2:15 so a long way short of the three ghosts of Dave, Micko and Sean I s chasing but slowly got it down to challenge Dave's 2:11.0. Managed a 2:12.0 with a couple of laps that would have seen me close only to be invalidated in the final turns. Then got my stuff together better for my final attempts posting a 2:10.5, 2:09.8 and finished off with a 2:09.381 closing to within 8/tenths of Micko's time. Lost a bit of time at turn 2 and again on the final turn but it's good to have some clear areas for improvement to work on. Still about 4 seconds short of Sean's 2:05 and miles away from Dazs 1:59 🤪 but pleased with my first sessions progress 👌👍
My best lap is available here, first lap and last laps aborted but the 2:09.381 starts around 2:10. Decided to go back to trying Twitch instead of Mixer and it seems to be working pretty well and now allows embedding of their videos which is a big advantage over Mixer and negates the beed to export to YouTube. :-

I've managed a high 2:07 in practice the other night by lowering the wing to 4, i'm not sure how much more I can get out of the car. I probably need to practice the track a lot more.
