Q 2 R DNF
DQ for speeding in the pit lane like an idiot. Wouldnt have mattered, it was my 2nd pit in 15 laps and the first pit was a donut clinic at the entrance. All around, a debacle.
Watching now, if Neale keeps it clean, he's gone. A minute ahead half way through and still hasn't pitted on soft tires.lol #BeastMode

Thanks to everyone who attended the event tonight, I really enjoyed that one. There was some great driving from everyone, especially seeing that is was on Australia's Monaco.
Superb driving Neale, you were very consistent and I could almost just barely keep up with your pace at the end there after you lapped me. You also had damage i'd guess from your crazy incident with Dave that I only caught the end of. Very well deserved win👍
Dave, Greg, and Karl, I almost shat my pants multiple times when racing with you tonight, never do that again lol. But seriously, that was great racing and that's what it's all about for me. So I guess do make me almost crap my trousers again lmao
Thanks for setting this one up, I can't wait for the next event. I'll have some sort of replay coming so keep an eye out.

Q5 R7
Got a decent start and I was close to Greg and Tommy on the Mountain Straight and made the most of Greg and Tommy coming together in Griffin Bend, avoiding the 2 stricken cars I moved up to 3rd and for a few laps I kept Neale and Sean in range. Sean pitted and I moved up to P2 but with Stu closing in, I managed to keep Stu behind for a few laps but clipped the wall going over the mountain and let him go as he was clearly faster. Decided to pit earlier than planned as I felt that the time spent repairing the car would be quicker than limping round with damaged suspension. I emerged from the Pits in P5 between Tyler in P3, Pete in P4 and Greg in P5 and began a tactical battle with them trading laptime, pushing fairy hard to close Tyler down whilst trying to pull away from Greg was very enjoyable and was happy to see both Tyler and Pete pull into the pit, I just managed to pass Pete but Tyler came out just in front, I began putting pressure on Tyler and at the end of the next lap I was in his slipstream on the Mountain Straight, I moved to the inside going into Griffin Bend but out braked myself and sustaining some damage had to pit again, deciding to try a different strategy and run the hard tyres for a longer stint was brave but ultimately the wrong decision as those tyres were difficult to get any competitive times, realising that I’d made the wrong choice after 10 laps I pitted again for the softs and immediately found the pace I was lacking in the previous stint, Neale was behind me but a lap in front but I was managing to keep him back when going over the top of the hill I had an enormous shunt. Went round in P7 till the end of the race.
So, another great evening of racing and huge congratulations to Neale for a dominating victory and we’ll done to all our friends that took part, fabulous, highly professional, exciting and challenging racing and I hope that everyone will race in our WEC Sportscar series in January.
Cheers
Dave

Great fun last night, thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely my best experience at this track. I've found a new love for this place so will be getting back here whenever I can.
Q6 R6 Got off to a decent start and tucked up behind Dave as we both snuck underneath the turn 2 incident. I had Tyler and Karl on my tail over the first few laps and Tyler got past when I went a tad wide at McPhillamy and he got me into Skyline. Held Karl back for a short while but then he got a better exit out of the Elbow and took me down Conrod. Managed to stay close for a while and seemed to close through the mountain, especially Skyline and the Dipper but he was better through to the end of the lap. Had a couple of little bumps which started to drop me back a bit and then had Stu on my tail for the first time of many during the race. We seemed to be following each other more times then I can recall throughout and invariably if one had a wobble the other copied them lol.
All was still going well and my one stop on lap 26-28 was all going nicely until I got screwy through turns 3/4 and picked up too much damage to continue allowing Stu to pass. Pitted at the end of lap 23 and boy do those guys take forever to do the fuel and tyres. That took longer than repairing the damage.
Came out of the pits and who would be behind me... Stu.. again lol. I was keen not to hamper him and took my eyes of the road and ran wide into Griffin's and picked up 23 damage on my left rear. Bugger thought that would be a problem but actually it was handling ok still so I was still on for a one stop based on my fuel consumption.
My battle at this point was really Stu and Dave and I was more closing on Dave who had got passed me while I was exciting the pits and then he had his incident so I was through into 6th place. I had another bang but can't remember where which forced me into anther stop and I came out about ahead of Dave and looking at the gap and his times thought I was going to have a nice battle with him for the remainder of the race. Unfortunately that never materialised as I think he had another off and I had a pretty quiet finish with my main focus being on staying ahead of Neale and not dropping another lap. That gave me sonething to focus on for the last half dozen laps.
Well done everyone that took part. Disappointed for those that had early finishes for various reasons but congrats to Neale for a dominant win and Tyler and Karl for the consistent runs to take the podium places. Special shout out to Ian on his racing return with us, great job to finish on such a tough track.

It wasn't ideal by a long shot lol, but it was cool watching and seeing various battles unfold throughout the race. Everyone drives quite a bit differently.
It would be a tall ask for the DVR to record the whole race so you can flip between different cars. Forza offers that, but I've never recorded one longer than 20min. Maybe next gen will offer something like that.

Q-9 R-3 I don't really have a handle on this car so i just wanted to have a clean race. Had some fun in the first bunch of laps and some close racing with Peter and Tyler. Then i had a scarry bit in the final chicane on one lap where i clipped the kerb and almost rolled my car. I managed to just save it in the end. Peters video should have a good view of that. The middle bit was dull. The end bit was exciting as i chased down Tyler and Greg for a podium position. Then Greg had to stop again and i was just hunting down Tyler. The gap closed from about 10 seconds to 2 over the course of a few laps and i was hopeful he had some damage he was dealing with, but he had just turned the mix down to try and save some fuel. I kept the pressure on right up to the end, but i couldn't find a way by and he didn't make a big enough mistake for me to overtake him. It was super fun though. Video here. The first laps should be a good watch as well as the last laps. mixer.com/niblips2

Nice clips. Tell me, do you have the in-game wheel switched off. It looks like it's there but just not moving, thought it had to be either on or off. I'll have to check that out.

Yeah my in-game wheel and driver are turned off Pete. The cars that have a Motec screen still show the wheel so you can flip through screend but it stays static and the drivers hands are invisible.

What is your FOV set to because when I have mine set to what is supposed to be best it means I cannot see the wheel more.

Basically if the wheel of the car has the motec display fixed to the wheel it’ll stay fixed so it’s legible at all times. So this occurs in the V8SC and various others.

So in the WEC series cars we're buggered then and have to sey the FOV to take that into account which basically means having it at 70 or over.

Right now my FOV is set at 82. The Project Cars fov calculator says I should be at 88 but that seemed too far back. I moved it closer so it looks basically what my vision sees while sitting in my real car without using peripherals. So if you wear glasses basically what you can see in front of you and use the sides of your glasses as the cut off point.

82!! How far do you sit from your screen? It suggests FOV of 37 for me!!

My screen is about 10 inches from the back of my wheel and I race with a 78 FOV. Setting the FOV first then moving the seat position to where you want can really help.
