Good session tonight. Only got on for the last 15 minutes of the race Wayne and Bryan had started early but was happy with my 2:04’s in the nighttime conditions which seemed on a par with what they were doing. Ran the quali session straight after when the server reset and grabbed pole with a low 2:03. Race started with about 8 on the grid and I lost a place at the start and was struggling with low front end grip after a couple of laps and lost another place. Added a click of TC and that solved things and was running close behind the front two when they clashed. Managed to avoid their cars as they spun on the approach to Brooklands and then gradually opened up a gap to the cars behind. Held onto the lead by about 5 seconds then they started to pit but I had enough fuel to stay out and was leading by around a minute with 20 minutes remaining and unfortunately they all started to drop out until I was the only car left. Really dislike when guys drop out when they realise they can’t win!! My lap times started to drop due to tyre pressures dropping so I opted to come into the pits and bolt on some tyres with higher pressures and boy what a difference that made. For the last 8 laps I was in the low 2:02’s and just missed out the 2:01’s by a couple of thousandths. Definitely my quickest and most consistent race so far. How did your practice go Matt? I am 2 points away from the SA rating. I should knock that out today. Boosting the AI and Race time. I'm feeling more and more comfortable with the car. I am consistently in the low 4s high 3s range.

WoooooHooooo SA 26. Just in time for me to have to run for the night. Boosted everything to 92. Won the race from 6th. Next race 95. Can't wait to finally get on track with everyone.

Glad you're getting into it, Pete. It's rewarding when it goes your way, but the flip side to that is when you're out in front and then kicked from the server for no reason; it's soul destroying!

To help get your SA rating up, you can do single player races where you start from the back. Staying close to the cars in front helps build it up but make sure you don't touch anyone!

Yeah, thanks Rich, I have been working steadily on building that up. I have been placing my self in the middle of the pack and back. Almost all of my time now will be building on that. It kills me to race the middle of the pack. But I have learned that it's that best way to boost it.

Had two really good races yesterday and today, starting times in the evening at the time of the penultimate and last stints. Started both at the back to get the best chance of SA ratings improvement and more have mine at 71. Overall I’m at CC 78 CN 85 PC 64 SA 71 RC 48
CC and CN seem to have stagnated and barely move now with the latter going up by just one over those two races. PC of course only changes when you do the special events and I haven’t done any in ages.
Finding the AI really good in this game, they provide a good challenge and don’t seem to make stupid moves that sometimes AI can do.
One thing I can’t seen to find so maybe someone else here knows how to do it. I have the actual standings and track position standings set to display on my Y and X buttons but can’t see a way to enable me to see the overall gap to the leader unless he is less than 4 cars ahead and appears in one of the screens assigned to Y and X. Anyone know if it can do that? Not a major thing but when you are chasing down cars it’s good to know that gap so you know how much you have to push to give you a shot at taking the win.

Good session tonight Bryan, Matt. Great to get you on the grid at last Matt. Did you get any improvement in your rating after the race? Mine went up by a few points although my CN and CC dropped a couple due to the issues I had with the incorrect tyre pressures but so good as it was an important thing to confirm how sensitive the game is to the pressures.
Really cool to see how close our times all are and stands us in good stead for the series.
Hadn’t realised about the 2020 track requirement so will change that on the server but also in my practice. It will be interesting to see whether it makes any difference to the performance or times.

Indeed Peter, pleasure as always, getting there with the times, that was the most confortable I felt so far with my setup and before all of the tyre changes we all look very equal on pace. Looking forward to the first race. Great to see Matt around, my SA went up to 57 and didn`t recall if something dropped due to the initial DT.
As we were discussing it`s a good idea to have a final run at Silverstone 2020 to get dialed in with the conditions and the driver swap system. Maybe in 2 weeks we can start testing for race II in Nurburgring. Hope to see Wayne around so we can all four have a good go at it.

Thanks Guys, what a blast. I am glad I finally got the chance to run with you. Almost all of my settings went up. Not a whole lot. But there were no negatives. I was bummed I didn't get more time to race door to door. I need to get the hang of the start. I hope the bone head that passed me before the green flag had to do a drive through as well. Note to self. Put the proper amount of fuel into the car. Hey Pete. I'll try to wave at the camera tomorrow. I have to work at the Colts game. My first since the Speedway closed for the winter.

Sorry I've been quiet as of late. Family life has been busy and I'm still waiting to get my wheel base back from TM! They finally took responsibility under the warranty claim I put in but I'm yet to hear on the status of the repair.
Sounds as if you're all making good progress with the game, I'll have some catching up to do when I get it back!
Take care.
Richard

How did Saturdays practice go? Anything to note with it being the 2020 date instead of the 2018 we had previously been running? We’re the times any different.
It looks like I’m not going to be able to race again this weekend either. My back is still a problem but the shoulder has now become a bigger one and I can only manage short runs before I have to take a break to rest it. With only five weeks to the first race I’m concerned that this will now be a problem for that🤔😏

FFB and a sore shoulder isn't any fun at all. I hope you get it to feeling better soon Pete.
