I just noticed she doesn't have a setup for the Oval IndyCar. The road ffb setup seems to work good with the oval car as far as I can tell though.

I had my first go at Daytona last night, just a few TT laps and then went into a custom race with 30 minutes of practice and did 36 laps with a best lap was a 36.7 which was much faster than I could manage in TT. I just couldn't seem to get a handle on that mode for some reason.
Weird thing was that I came in for a test pit stop with a couple of minutes remaining and when I drove out of the pits I had no control of the car, the console took over completely and drove the lap for me at which point the session ended. Anyone seen this before?

This can happen if you have "driver swap" accidentally turned on. This will put a computer driver in to take over for you.

I'll have a look in the settings although I just used it from my favourites which should have had the same settings I always use... oh actually not sure it can have been that because I pitted earlier and it didn't happen. I'll double check everything though.

Anybody had any practice to report here yet. I've had the one short session I reported so far but hoping to get a practice race in tonight or tomorrow to at least get some race condition racing in and practice those damn pit stops on ovals that have plagued me so far .

Rich and I have done a fair bit of testing here, what we found was that the Honda is by far the quickest car around this oval. I’ve managed to run consistently in the mid to low 37’s. Looks like the tyres will double stint and if we run Green Flag all the way 🤔🤣🤣 it should be a 3 stop race. Although I’m not an oval expert I’m looking forward to Saturdays race and we should have 1 or 2 new drivers with us which will give us our biggest grid so far.

Cheers, that's good to know that i'm on the same page pace wise then after my first test the other night. Most laps in the 37's with a best of 36.7. Didn't have long enough to test the tyre wear but hopefully I can before lights out. Yep 9 signed up although Pete had to miss ou e Vintage F1 race last night so fingers crossed he's fit for this.

I've not had any running yet but hope to get some in tonight. Tyler makes it sound like a piece of cake though.... default setup and such, so i'm hoping to just get some running in on that. Have you done anything special with the setup Peter?

Have you done anything special with the setup Peter? It's delicious Slightly Mad Icecream Cake bro. I don't know what I'm doing whatsoever setup wise when it comes to these Oval IndyCars so SMS basically handed me a great setup which I need. Before Daytona, I was using Rich's setups for the Ovals (which still were good, just not tailored to my driving style) .

Actually I might have gone one click up or down on the weightjacker but I'll have to check to be sure.

Quick question for anyone that might know. What is the adjustment that you can make in the car while on track using the icm... is it the weight jacker or something else?
Not getting on tonight and just wondering if someone knows off the top of their head. Cheers.

I’m not sure you can move the weight jacker with the ICM, I’m pretty sure in real Indy Cars it can be adjusted

I don't get it then....if you haven't done anything to the default setup how come I'm only getting a lap time of 40.2? No lifting. No issues steering....? I'm confused.

I have not been on track since Monday and have no idea off the top of my head if those are the same as my settings. It's the default SMS Stable one right? Definitely I adjusted the weight jacker so maybe have that at 4 and also looking at that setup reminded me that I went higher on 6th gear but don't think I touched the others.
