So, I think I have found a secret weapon for Daytona. Paired with TheSimGirl's Thrustmaster setup on the Project Cars 2 forum, the Stable SMS Daytona Tri-Oval setup is nearly perfect (and you would think so lol)! I had a best of around 37.5 and was faster than the AI at 120/40. Engine damage can be a factor though as I had 3% after only 8 or 9 laps.
Don't forget to match (in BAR units) your pitstop tyre temps with the SMS setup and choose the IndyCar Primary tyre. I hope this helps anyone struggling and gives us some intense action.😧😳😬😄😝🤤🤡

Certainly knows her stuff You can just change the settings of the game so that the garage and pit stop pressures use the same units.. metric or imperial. I was using a converter on my phone for it but found making that change just much simpler in the long run. Unless the damage is in danger of reaching 100% before the end of the race you are safe... at the rate you mentioned you would be no more than 40% (ish) at the end of the race so are good to go. 40 on the aggression seems to be a decent number all round from what I have seen. Once you start going too far above that they get a bit too careless in the open wheelers especially. Not so bad in the less fragile cars but definitely in the classics and Indycar where damage is so easy to take having that level set too high can have race impacting results.
