Interestingly I ran in TT then in Private Practice without changing the setup and was almost 2 seconds quicker in Practice.

Hello guys, I haven’t been on since last weekend as been on nights this week. Karl, turn you engine cooling down to about 15% at the end of the stint of been getting up 10% damage which isn’t too bad. Also for some reason in TT the car is much slower than pretty much any other game mode which is a tad frustrating. If your about tonight you can try my set up. On another subject guys keep an eye out for when they do the update as that will bugger your night right up if it decides to drop Saturday.

So, after I posted all the setup details I had a look in tt to see if Tyler or Peter had set a lap with the default setup. Tyler had not but peter had. I loaded his setup and noticed a huge difference between his default setup and my default setup.the aero, the gearing, the tyre pressures etc.
A similar thing happened when I first got this game with the Lotus 49. The guys I was racing with were using the default setup but when I was using the default setup I was 3 and 4 seconds a lap slower. I struggled for a while to figure out what was going on and then finally realised the other guys default setup was using track tyres and my default setup had the vintage tyres fitted. The performance levels of those tyres are drastically different.
The only thing I can attribute these default setup differences to is the point in which I bought the game. I got it quite late and in doing so went from the first version of the game to the latest patched version in one step. Whereas peter and Tyler have gone through all of the patches sequentially. SMS must have changed some of the default car setups between the first version and the latest version, and for some reason either I haven't got the correct default setups, or peter and Tyler don't.
Anyway, once I was using the same default setup as peter I didn't have any trouble matching his tt time. So I'm sure I'll be on the same pace in an offline race this evening. This bug is rather annoying and I wonder if deleting the game from my hard drive and reinstalling it will correct this issue?

I tried a few because my times were so slow but gave up with that mode after about 15 minutes and switched to Custom Race mode. If your times are good with it though no matter.

Was that in Custom Race mode Karl? I have not been on track since Monday and have no idea off the top of my head if those are the same as my settings. It's the default SMS Stable one right? Definitely I adjusted the weight jacker so maybe have that at 4 and also looking at that setup reminded me that I went higher on 6th gear but don't think I touched the others. Yeah, I was in custom race mode offline from the start last night, only after getting frustrated for a couple hours did i go into TT mode. Do me a favour and post the default setup it gives you, if you can post it side by side with the one i posted. There is something really fishy going on and the only thing i can think is that part of a patch wasn't performed properly...either by my system, or by SMS

So I went back for my second and final test and Karl, looks like I was wrong and I didn't use the default setup so that one you grabbed from TT is the one I ran in my custom race session the other day.
I tried default stable tonight and it was way off so I've no idea how Tyler is running 37's with that unless with a very closed radiator and low fuel :/
Strangely though in my practice race I'm nowhere near the 37's tonight. Needed to be in a draft to get into the 38's and most laps were 39's so no idea what's going on there. The tyres last forever though, looks like no change will be needed at all.
Not feeling confident about the race tomorrow now but it should be fun anyway.

If the setup I posted is the default and Tyler is running that and getting 37s then I give up. Lol. I was running well in a practice race offline tonight but forgot the pit and ran outta fuel with about 20mins to go. Stupid. I got lulled into a daydream....the circuit is so boring and with only 9 AI there wasnt a lot to do....

I think my times had a lot to do with drafting from the AI. I'm sure it'll be much different when I hop online with it.
It should be an interesting race nonetheless, I haven't done any endurance stints with it here yet so I don't know how the car will fare.

Nate I'm so glad you were able to survive and come back. I apologize for that mid race caution, totally my fault. My lack of tuning/driving ability really shines on the ovals.

Not a problem at all buddy. That stuff happens out there man. Not to mention I told you Lowe, then I came up on you a lot quicker than I thought and had to go high. Not totally your fault buddy.

That was both a great and terrible race all at the same time lol. Really happy for Nate, Karl, and Peter on the podium, gutted for Rich, Micheal and DrBlackout, lots of unexpected surprises during that one! I made a few too many mistakes and gave up my spot because I was stupid and didn't put enough fuel in for my spash and go. I'm still getting used to all this new found FFB with this TX LE wheel too . I absolutely love it so far. That's what kept happening when I lost control and Peter watched me run into the wall under that caution lol. It was too heavy for just long enough for me to f#&% it all up lmao! I now need to get used to using the clutch pedal again. I've got the left foot breaking down but need to get used to left and right foot breaking for the Vintage league. I was right that I needed the draft to get in the 37s, I stayed in Dave's draft for several laps but couldn't get enough speed with the slingshot. It seemed like my speed fluctuated up and down during the race at random times. I'm with Greg on the Ovals; not a fan unless there's a lot of cars on the grid. I still like that they're included in the season as it adds to the challenge and it's seriously a different beast to tame. Congratulations again Nate and welcome DrBlackout. Thanks for sticking around and dealing with all the connection issues.

I almost wrecked from laughing, when Dave said you hit the wall warming up your tires! I’m pretty sure somebody did that in Indy a few years ago actually. I had pretty much two full weeks to work on that that setup too. With my current situation, I could dedicate some time to it LOL. Pete was keeping up with me for probably the last 20 laps, and I think he could’ve gotten around me a couple times. After we got everything figured out, I thought it was really fun. I was wondering why Carl pitted, I thought we were running away from everyone! Yeah, good to have you black out! I’m new to these guys too, it was a great find! Everyone is super professional, and everybody makes every attempt to race as clean as possible! Thanks again guys, it was a blast!

It'll be a few months before I'll be able to grab one, next on the list is a cockpit I found this video on Youtube of a formation lap crash:
