Gents,
As some of you are already aware from the Indycar Championship part of the Forum, we are attempting to expand the number of drivers in all of our championships, we now have Social Media presence on Facebook, Twitter and Insta. Presently the the Indy side of the forum is well represented but I’m planning to incorporate all of our leagues into the various outlets available to us.
If you could follow each of the groups and pages we currently have I’d really appreciate it.
Facebook Xbox Racing Forum Twitter @indyxbox Insta console_racing
Cheers
Dave

Yeah very sad. Thought it was odd him not being around much of late. Loved his forthright and honest comments./ No mincing words with Nikki Lauda,

So here's an interesting little tid bit. Despite announcing the new Xbox for Holiday 2020, Phil Spencer has said that Xbox One accessories will work on the new system 😲 Hopefully that applies to wheels.

Guys what are your plans for switching over to the new game for the league? Are you doing test runs first or just switching straight over at the next race after it releases?

Barring any issues or these delays the plan is to switch for the British GP on the 14th July, two weeks after the games release.

Might be a good idea to see how many have F1 2019 pre ordered or at least buying it 🤣🤣 we may find ourselves with only 5-6 ready to go.. Looking forward to it myself... just saying !

I think we'll have to remain flexible on the switch over date depending on how many get it on release. Although, we have dropped results so if some miss a few races it shouldn't effect the standings in the end too much.

Just my two cents; I won't be getting it at release and unless it's got amazing reviews here I'll leave it a while. Was not happy with the state of the current game at release and the usual plethora of bugs and glitches, as well as the largely dodgey AI. I'm increasingly getting the feeling with these yearly releases that CM are holding stuff back until the next game and making incremental improvements.

They're shady as fuck, the expensive legends edition is out tonight, but on the 28th is when the standard anniversary comes out and there's like a 20 quid difference between the two.

Not bothering with legends, it’s disgusting that they produce 2 games, it should all be on one disc. Just a ploy to collect more cash, don’t get me wrong I love the game and have bought it since the 90’s and will probably continue but like Gareth says , drip feeding is all they do, I’m sure they have loads of additional content and options but not releasing all together. I’m still pissed that they can use ALL the buttons on a controller yet with the wheel we are restricted, that to me is being short changed so to speak.. Go to PC and you get so much more from the game but it costs more in the end and takes up yet more room which I don’t have on both accounts otherwise PC would be where I would go. That’s my rant over..

Hmmm.. my views on the new games recently are quite the opposite lol. To be honest Gareth the last two releases have been pretty solid out of the box and we've run them straight away with little problem. It's got to the point where disconnects, etc. are a bit of a surprise rather than the norm that used to be the case. The last poor release was 2015 which was unplayable for league's and resulted in us not starting one for some months. As for the AI I find them really good and once you get them at the right level for you they provide terrific competition. Of course there are always little annoyances but in comparison to a few years ago they are night and day.

They are always going to release extras, it's standard these days and look at things like Project Cars, you get the 'option' to purchase new content for some time after the original games release. I don't really see that as being a problem as it is an 'option' and not forced on anyone. If you like the extra content offered you buy it, if not you don't. Pretty standard sales stuff in all honesty and just a little extra money earner that provides some extra for future developments, etc.

They will definitely already have other things in the pipeline for 2020 but that's only to be expected, especially with a new console on the horizon. You have to continually move forward or else you go backwards.

But the new game I'm sure it be will be picked up by most. Unfortunately, I'll not be one of them for a while. I'm on holiday so need to get straight again when I get back and personal circumstances have changed somewhat over the last couple of weeks so money is very tight for the foreseeable and some prioritising is needed for a while
