I don't even touch all the extra stuff they put out, but it's wrong that what they have been adding in as free content for the last few years is now an extra cost and because I don't want it I have to wait to play the game... That's rediculous, that's some EA type of bollocks.

But what your have to remember is that this extra content edition is being released early. The standard game was always being released on the 28th.

Just my two cents; I won't be getting it at release and unless it's got amazing reviews here I'll leave it a while. Was not happy with the state of the current game at release and the usual plethora of bugs and glitches, as well as the largely dodgey AI. I'm increasingly getting the feeling with these yearly releases that CM are holding stuff back until the next game and making incremental improvements. Hmmm.. my views on the new games recently are quite the opposite lol. To be honest Gareth the last two releases have been pretty solid out of the box and we've run them straight away with little problem. It's got to the point where disconnects, etc. are a bit of a surprise rather than the norm that used to be the case. The last poor release was 2015 which was unplayable for league's and resulted in us not starting one for some months. As for the AI I find them really good and once you get them at the right level for you they provide terrific competition. Of course there are always little annoyances but in comparison to a few years ago they are night and day. That's great for you Peter but lots of people experience bugs and glitches especially at launch, just go on youtube and do a quick search. I got a game-breaking bug with the 2017 game with running out of fuel even in lean mix the whole race, as did lots of others, that was an issue since launch and I don't know if it ever got fixed, plus another game / race-breaking SC bug which was known but was not addressed. As a result I waited a while to get the 2018 game. At times the AI can be good but on the whole I've experienced them to be impossible to race with. My Canada practice was marred by being tagged in the rear and bumped in the side which most of the time ended my race. But I won't complain.

Never had that problem but did see it mentioned in the forum's and it was fixed early days. Obviously if you had those problems it sucks but I don't understand how it materialises for some but not others on the same system. It can only be something with the individual installation of those that had the issue because a general game fault would be exhibited on everyone's game. Did you ever uninstall the game and then start again as that can cure those type of strange problems. What SC bug was that? The only one I was aware of with 2017 was fixed quicky. My only real problem with the SC has been it's lack of appearance online this season. Offline it's fine but rarely gets called online. I tend to find with the AI that if I race them just the same as I would a human then they don't react unexpectedly. Most problems occur when you do things suddenly, such as change line to try to block, brake too early, etc. They are not perfect but provide some of the best racing of any AI I have raced with.

It was after you got the notification that the SC was coming in, for the rest of the lap the AI behind would keep trying to overtake. Once they got close enough the game would ghost me and they just went through me,ending with me losing place after place. It mainly happened at Abu Dhabi band spa.

Strange Gareth. I don't recall seeing that one reported on the forums.

I've put the feelers out on some forums for new drivers but i'm not sure whether our continuation of the current season might be a drawback as there are a lot of league's starting afresh with the new game.
There are good numbers on some of the league's i've looked at.. although of course as we know it's easy to sign up but another thing when it actually comes to the races.
If we could just manage to find another 3 or 4 bodies things would be so much better here.

Well if you stayed and got the game that would account for one, I have another that may be interested but can’t commit every week, I’m trying to get others that I meet on weekly races from the game itself.. had a good race today Q12 R7 lost 2 places on the last corners, doing so well till then, anyway just joking with you Peter , I’m sure you will be back once sorted..

Always good to put the feelers out to any that you are racing in the lobbies. Not something I've ever got into.
I'll be back at some point for sure, some time around the end of August with a bit of luck.

Juan Manuel Correa has had surgery on his legs and spine and is in intensive care, very unfortunate and sad day for the motorsport community.

I take it nobody's interested in races with the classic cars?
Happy New Year btw.
