So I kept my gain at 80% which I thought I would need to turn down, turned minimum force from 4 to 0, kept dynamic damping at 100, and turned road effects down to 15 since you can actually feel them now. I would recommend putting the minimum force at 0 if it isn't already it made a big difference.
First impression is FF feels much better but I've only done a couple laps so far. Oh and the game actually recognized my wheel without any fuckery!

Button mapping is still horrid (I have a keypad for additional functions) but the game feels better. Plus no wheel banter to play! Graphics look smoother. I'm using a X so need to see what's been optimised.

Private server information in the link below. Looks like you have to pay to rent a private server but I'm a total noob on this subject so I'm not sure on exactly how much it's going to cost. It says it's $0.50 per slot or $8 for 20 slots over(?) 30 days and that all means nothing to me lol. I'm assuming a slot would just be the server but I don't know if there's time constraints etc. Hopefully someone knowledgeable on the subject knows. I went through G Portal since the other one isn't setup yet. support.505games.com/hc/en-us/sections/360004385559

However my time didn't get updated in the rankings so I went into the McLaren Super Pole and went 4 seconds quicker and it didn't update either. Is anyone else having problems with these not udpating?

Asking people to pay is a bold step considering they've already had to buy a broken game for £35. £6 per month isn't cheap and unless you're getting good use (plus no server drops/kicks) then it's an odd way to do it.

I only got on for a quick 15 minute race this morning and wished I hadn't lol. Can't say I noticed any difference in performance and handling wise I struggled and spun twice in the race costing me a drop of a point in SA and 2 in CC... should have left it until I had more time to tinker as I left the settings the same as previously. Maybe the FFB changes which I didn't notice a difference tbh need the suggested changes to the FFB settings that I have seen mentioned. One plus was the wheel recognised straight away.

I did a little research and the 20 slots would be for 20 people so that really doesn't seem that crazy to me especially if the server is good for an entire month. Even if it was $0.50 per person per race that still seems reasonable, of course that's assuming we had 20 people each race. I know on iRacing users have to pay for private server time but I'm not sure about ACC on PC.

Regarding the paid for servers i'm not sure what to think but definitely didn't expect it. I just assumed it would be private lobbies rather then servers. Never had to do anything like that before so need to investigate how it works. It would be a pain in the arse trying to get everyone contributing something towards it so need to investigate some before making any decisions. Definitely risky though if thats the only option they are giving us as I'm sure plenty that have been waiting for private lobbies will just walk away.

Yeah you definitely need to change the minimum force to 0 if it isn't. I left mine at 4 at first and it felt like I didn't even have FFB but when I set it to 0 it was a huge difference.

They do pay on PC but then they don't also pay a membership for online racing through Xbox Gold like we do. It really depends on how many were interested and with our group there is minimal participation here so not a good sign.

Hopefully since the game isn't broken anymore some more people will buy the game. I think we would have some really good racing on this game with enough people.

Felt better tonight, my minimum force setting was already at 0 but I increased my gain and reduced Road effects and it did feel much better. I might reduce the gain a touch though.
Framerate is definitely no better, in fact I would say if anything its slightly worse. Looking at the forum it seems they have admitted the patch has not worked for Xbox due to inability to switch the resolution that it did on PS4 so what we get is more stuttery as the fps jumps between 35-45.
I had a look at that g-portal app for server renting and it's awful!! The instructions don't tally with what you get on that app. They say you need to register using the app but there is no facility to do so!! Also, if you register on the website it will not be the samee as in the app so you have to register on the app as well... which I find no way to do. Madness!!
I did enjoy a 20 minute race and took win number 2 with my most consistent race yet which achieved me the consistency achievement of 10 laps without an error and yet my CC dropped by a point to 82 and my CN stayed at 92!!
Really enjoying the racing and driving, certainly its the best experience on console but they need to sort these annoying issues out.

I registered on GPortal as well just to check it out. Do we want to try and do a practice session/race in a few weeks on an off weekend for the Indy Car league? I would really like to get some time in on this game with people on here. Was throwing a few ideas around but thought we could do an hour practice then 20-30 minute qualifying and an hour race like the sprint races in the career mode.

I'll probably wait until they fix the performance on Xbox. Mine is worse as a result of the last patch and i'm probably going to put it to bed until it's fixed. The last two times i've been on its cost me points on my ratings due to the jerkiness of it and that was just in Hotstint mode.
Really want to enjoy the game but it's difficult with how they have done it. So poorly optimised and not thought out at all on console.
G-portal is also atrocious, it didn't recognise my password and when I try to reset it by using the link on the website it sends me a link and I have to input my old password to set a new one... Hellooooo.. that's why I'm trying to reset it!!
