Looks like I might be out for this one guys so you'll need to arrange someone to set it all up on the night.
Got on for a practice tonight but straight away found that my throttle was intermittently dropping and also the brake would engage even when I was nowhere near it. I've recalibrated the pedals and wheel multiple times, reset the Xbox, powered the wheel and box on and off but still no joy. I'm not sure whether this is a pedal unit problem or something with the wheel that is throwing a signal that is messing things up. It seems to happen mainly in the lower gears when entering or exiting a corner while the wheel is turning.
I'll plug the pedals into the laptop tomorrow to see if anything shows up on the Thrustmaster control panel but I'm not too hopeful in all honesty.

I had another look at it this morning and the problems is still very much apparent. The throttle drops intermittently coming out of the corners and the brake sometimes spikes on. This only happens if I have used the brake on entry, if I just get off the throttle and downshift to make the corner then it all seems fine. Sometimes going into the braking zone the brake will spike to full on which invariably leads to a lockup and spin. Inpossible to race with it that way as you just never know how bad it is going to be an dlosing acceleration out of a corner is a recipe for disaster with any carsw around you.
But here's the weird thing... I jumped into ACC and on the same track (Brands Hatch) I did 16 laps with not a hint of a problem and in fact set my fastest ever lap at the track in the game. I am going to try out F1 2020 next as well but has anybody else ever had this soert of game specific issue before?

Hi Pete. I have done some searching today I have seen similar (not exact) issues compared to yours. Most of these are using an external hub and getting errors about multiple inputs.
I wasn't sure if you used any kind of hub to connect your peripherals. Seems the hubs can provide some cross talk between the wheel and pedals.
I'm still looking if I can find anything else I will post it. @ironscorpion Does any of this sound familiar to you? You said you were having similar issues right?

Nope, no hub used for it, the wheel is plugged directly into my Xbox.
I fired up F1 2020 and like ACC that was fine as well. It's just weird that it's only pCars that has the issue.. I haven't altered anything from when it was all fine on Tuesday.

Yes, it sounds familiar. I had similar problems, but they were due to the fact that I used a cheap, very funny but cheap steering wheel ... in fact he had some fault.
Then Jo purchased a mid-range steering wheel and my problems were solved.
Unfortunately I stop here and I can't help you.

Ok here's another thought. When was the last time you unplugged your pedals while you were in PC2? Have you started up your wheel and let it calibrate without the pedals attached? I'm reverting back to IT 101  Somtimes we forget all about the physical stuff. Cheers |

Maybe try a firmware update on it via PC/Laptop?
Failing that, I would uninstall PC2 from the Xbox and then reinstall it. Clean slate etc

The customer service I received after that was shocking. They didn’t want to know & tried charging me £150 for a re-conditioned wheel

Just checking that everyone signed up below is still going to make this practice next Saturday?
PRACTICE EVENT SATURDAY, 31st JULY AT 9pm UK
I'm thinking of running a practice race in a few weeks time if there is enough interest. I would like to run it at a circuit that we've not run in the league and would propose Brno as the venue. This is a track that I've long felt could be really good for Indycar and provide some good racing.
I am unavailable to race until the 31st July so that's the date i'm suggesting.
20 minute practice, 20 minute qualifying and one hour race.
Please let me know if you are interested. A minimum of 8 drivers I think will be needed to give this any legs.

Thi splace is tough on tyres... Harder than anything we ran last year with the middle sector a real killer for the front left. |

Yes the red tyre takes a hammering on the front left.
My best lap was a 1.41 on the hards in race trim.

I was able to get into the 1:39's in race trim on the hard tyre. There's not a lot in it between the two compounds tbh and the red's melt really quickly.

Unfortunately where I live the bad weather tonight has caused much damage to the structures.
Among landslides and rain, today there will be a lot of work to do for the community.
Unfortunately I can't confirm my presence at the moment for this evening. I'm very sorry because it is more than a month that I wait for this evening, but unfortunately here where I live there are many problems to solve ... a crazy climate gift.
I want to tell you though that I absolutely confirm my subscriptions in the championship. I hope you can organize it.
